We are a Startup Studio focused on creating new startups in series. We are founders, investors and serial entrepreneurs, passionate about open innovation, lean startup fanatics, experts in cloud technologies, user experience and digital marketing professionals.

We create Software as a Service companies, with B2B targets, combining simple user experiences, advanced data collection and processing capabilities and elements of artificial intelligence. By building startups we enable founders, enterprises and professional investors to express their innovation potential and create new investment opportunities, in the belief that by “doing better business” we can revolutionize the everyday life of people and companies and support the economic growth of the ecosystem in which we operate.

We are looking for a Data Scientist to help us research and identify the best models to support us in discovering the information hidden in vast amounts of data, and help us make smarter decisions to deliver even better startups.

You will be working within the Technology Department team in supporting the development of one startup every 6 months: you'll get the chance to work on new stimulating projects from inception to launch.

Being in a flexible and fast-changing environment, you will play a critical role in taking strategic choices and will feel the impact of these choices right away, having the opportunity to actively participate in the evolution of our technologies and achievement of our mission.

Key responsibilities:

• Research, identify and implement mathematical and statistical models to strengthen our AI practices that are mainly focused on machine learning and NLP
• Communicate and collaborate with our cross-functional and multidisciplinary team (in particular with our big data software architects)
• Contribute to the technical improvement of our proprietary intelligence software and framework
• Create reports and presentations for business uses

Must have:

• Master degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Mathematical Engineering or similar
• Solid grounds of algebra, probability and statistics
• Proficiency with Python and Spark
• Experience with Cloud Platforms, at least one among AWS, Azure, GCP
• Familiarity with at least one among PyTorch, Keras, TensorFlow
• Ability to communicate complex data in a simple and actionable way
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Fluent English

Bonus points:

• Ph.D./Researcher program in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Mathematical Engineering or similar
• 1 or 2 years of working experience will be considered a plus
• Experience with Software Versioning systems (Git, Svn, etc.)
• Experience with Elasticsearch
