Italdesign is looking for a vehicle passive safety project leader with passion for the automotive field and strong motivation in supporting the vehicle passive safety development process.

Responsibilities

• Supporting several running projects coordinating the passive safety team during the development phase, from concept to industrial production, taking care of one of passive safety issues (Front, side, sensoric and pedestrian protection) and addressing them to the correct Team;
• Being the main interface of Italdesign in front of customer’s departments, both internal and external to vehicle passive safety department;
• Coordinating functionnaly a team composed by the passive safety performance engineer drinving it towards the reaching of passive safety targets;
• Handling the Status Report of the Passive Safety performance almost at every project Milestone and support the creation of the documentation for project release.

Key requirements

• Almost 5 years of experience in Passive Safety development;
• Good skills of team working and coordination;
• Basic knowledge of technical drawing and modeling (CAD processes, basic knowledge of Catia 5 and data release systems);
• Knowledge of tooling lead time;
• Knowledge of main characteristics affecting target/performances

Preferential requirements

• Significant experience in FEM simulation;
• Significant experience in Passive Safety Testing;
• Priority management, proactivity, flexibility, resilience;
• Ability to anticipate, manage critical situations and provide effective solutions;
• Ability to transfer methodology and know how in her/his own project team and to the rest of the department team;
• Ability to manage component and system suppliers;
• Problem solving and ability to synthesize information.

Additional Information

• Education: Engineering degree (Mechanical, Electronical, Automotive)
• Language skills: Fluent knowledge of written and spoken Italian and English are required. Knowledge of German would be appreciated
