Stellenbeschreibung

Italdesign is looking for a specialist engineer with project coordination skills to take a role in the development of vehicle infotainment systems.

The candidate will be employed in the Infotainment, Connected Car and User Interface team of the Electrical/Electronics Engineering Department of Italdesign, headquartered in Turin Italy, but the role be located in Ingolstadt. After an orientation phase, the successful candidate will work within a specific customer project and be fully responsible for assigned project and technical topics.


Responsibilities

  • Understand the E/E car architecture to accommodate requests for the infotainment system.
  • Analyze requirements and functional specifications against the target.
  • Generate and maintain project scheduling and management, inclusive change requests, software releases, testing activities, and issue tracking to closure.
  • Provide regular and prioritized status reports in order to ensure all issues arising are directed towards the correct responsible area.
  • Support the development of infotainment requirements and their documentation in the tool chain
  • Generate technical reports and various presentation materials to communicate issues, achievements, and technical information for project evaluations and information sharing across the organization.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and other design/test departments at the customer.
  • As a resident engineer the responsibility is to work locally with the customer, to act as the primary interface and additionally:
  1. Understand current customer challenges and priorities and feedback to Italdesign HQ.
  2. Be the first point of contact for the customer in case of need, knowing who to escalate the topics to back in Italy.
  3. Feedback and inform the customer on progress and results coming from any of the remote development activities taking place in Italy.
  4. Represent Italdesign in local customer meetings, workshops and events.

Anforderungsprofil

  • At least 2+ years of experience in the development of Embedded Products, Media Infotainment, Audio VR, Bluetooth, CAN Connectivity, HMI Tuner, Navigation or any other automotive related features
  • 2+ years in Software Development Life Cycle such as Systems engineering, integration and testing in related domains.
  • Excellent communication and personal skills.
  • Able to manage own workload and priorities in order to achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Knowledge of Change management, Jira and Confluence tools
  • Knowledge of Automotive Architectures and communication protocols (CAN/ ETHERNET) and tools (e.g. Vector tools)
  • Knowledge of the latest protocols (e.g. SOME/IP)
  • HMI design experience is a plus
  • Ability to manage complex problems, summarize effectively and propose solutions
  • Experience in the area of highly integrated systems (embedded systems)
  • Experience with both Waterfall and Agile Scrum methodologies;

Sonstige Informationen

  • Education: Masters degree in Electronic Engineering, Communication Technology, Computer Science or a closely related topic is expected to be the minimum.
  • Language skills: Knowledge of written and spoken German and English (at least level B2/C1 ) is mandatory. Knowledge of Italian would be appreciated.
  • Workplace:Ingolstadt and availability to travel according to project needs.
