Italdesign is looking for a visionary and enthusiastic Data Scientist for a new and innovative department dedicated to Mobility Solutions and Smart Cities.

Within a young and smart team, you will have the opportunity to create data set and modeling system functionalities to provide insights and understanding of the complex phenomena (big data) with the aim to support and to address the development of technical solutions; you will develop analysis algorithms to analyze on big data the phenomena under investigation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor data set production and availability (i.e. open data)
• Set up an international network to facilitate the data accessibility
• Supervise market trends and programming/coding tools evolution to conduct the best investigation and address product/services development
• Collect, aggregate, store and manage large sets of data (structured and unstructured) from different sources
• Treat and manage static and real time data
• Treat and analyze data using proper relevant techniques to recognize patterns and trends
• Determines correct datasets and variables
• Identifies the most challenging data-analytics problems
• Cleans and validates data ensuring accuracy, completeness, and uniformity
• Manage programming and coding to extract knowledge from data with reference to the investigation
• Trend and solution modeling on data analysis
• Scouting and data extraction from devices (i.e. IoT)
• Scouting, data extraction and modeling from Web application
• With reference to the area/project under investigation, analyze and understand the context to extract the key features
• Communicates findings to stakeholders using the most suitable tools (i.e. visualization)

• Good programming and coding competences (C++, Java, etc)
• Expertise in Data and big data analysis techniques and application
• Expertise in Data and big data management, store and modelling
• Good knowledge of mathematics and statistics
• Good knowledge of problem analysis techniques
• Communication and Data Visualization skill and ability
• 2-3 years of experience in data management

Additional Information

• Education: Master degree in Statistics or Computer science
• Language skills: Fluent knowledge of written and spoken Italian and English are required. Knowledge of German would be appreciated
• Workplace: Moncalieri (TO) and availability to travel.
