Job summary

The person will assume responsibility for the Risk Management Function and will be responsible for overseeing the entities risk-taking performance and assessing risks and mitigation independently from the first line of defense. This resource will be also responsible for providing assurance to the Board that the principal risks have been identified, are adequately managed and measured and that the entity is operating within the risk appetite as set out by the Board.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

In particular, the resource will be responsible for:

- Establishing risk policies and control procedures for risk management and monitor the application of such policies;

- Verifying the adequacy of the risk management process and related operational limits;

- Development and maintenance of risk measurement and control systems; in this context, it develops indicators capable of highlighting anomaly situations;

- Identification, measurement and monitoring of risks and respect for operational limits;

- Execution and development of second-level controls to monitor key risk indicators and operational limits;

- Provide advice and/or define criteria for determining the action plans of the first line of defense controls;

- Regularly monitor the weaknesses detected by the first line of defense, second line of defense and third line of defense and the implementation of the action plans by the first line of defense.

- Collection and analysis of operational risk events and related loss data;

- Conducting risk self-assessment activities;

- Drafting the ICAAP and Pillar III Information Note;

- Formulation of specific risk analyses and prior opinions on specific projects or new products and services (including the outsourcing of operational functions or activities);

- Production of periodic reports for the Board and Supervisory Authorities on the control activities carried out and the main findings.

Requirements:

- Degree in economics/finance

- At least 5 years' experience in the Risk Management Function in intermediaries or in consultancy companies.

- Knowledge of the risk management regulatory framework.

- Excellent knowledge of the English language (fluent).

- Ability to liaise with supervisory authorities.

- Good aptitude for critical data analysis and problem solving.

- Ability to work independently and on different areas and projects.

- Pro-activity and accuracy and the ability to liaise with other offices.

Nice to have

- Knowledge of accounting principles;

- Knowledge of ESG topics in risk analysis.
