Thesis title:

Workplace Safety through Preventive/Predictive Maintenance

Description & Activities :

This internship will be under Health, Safety and Environment team, guided by HSE Manager of Dayco Europe, leading automotive component manufacturer at Ivrea.

1. Census of machines and relative documentation and CE certificates.
2. Map all available technical documentation, electrical, pneumatic and mechanical, to production cells; extraction of safety requirements and information for preventive/predictive maintenance.
3. Definition of preventive/predictive maintenance process of safety protection and devices of production work centers, including safety KPIs and how they are calculated and monitored in a structured company.
4. Dayco will train the student on ISO 45001, Safety Machine Guarding, TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), focusing on preventive and predictive maintenance.

This is a precious and rare occasion to live from within how Safety is lived in a big multinational company. The expected contribution of the thesis is to develop an integral approach to safety where preventive maintenance is lived as a stepping stone.
