Company Description

The Italian Red Cross (ItRC) is a private, no-profit and of public interest Association, under the high patronage of the President of the Republic and registered in the list of Organisations for Volunteering in the Third sector national register, operating pursuant to the Third Sector Code (D.Lgs. n. 117/2017), as not differently regulated by the D.Lgs. n. 178/2012. The ItRC is a volunteer Society of first aid and assistance, with auxiliary role of public authorities in the humanitarian field.

The Association of the Italian Red Cross (ItRC) is part of the International Movement of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. In its international operations, it coordinates with the International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC), with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent (IFRC) and with other Sisters Red Cross and Crescent National Societies.

Position

The Italian Red Cross is consolidating its own presence at international level, through International Cooperation activities in the humanitarian field, and aimed at the development of National Societies and at the sharing of competencies in different sectors.

The ItRC- International Cooperation Database aims at building a roster of professional figures, eligible for delivering the activities of International Cooperation all over the world.

The requested figures will support the delegations of the Italian Red Cross abroad in the strengthening and implementation of projects and activities, together with the Sister National Societies and other actors from the Movement or external stakeholders in the region of competence.

When registering, each applicant is required to fill in a form where professional experience details should be provide. Indeed, such a form is necessary in order to create a roster of professional figures in line with the diverse needs that would arise inside the Association.

Moreover, it is required to attach the updated CV, with the clear authorization of use for personal data.

Requirements

EDUCATION:

  • At least Bachelor Degree

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:

  • Knowledge of the international humanitarian sector;
  • Excellent knowledge of English language ;
  • Desirable knowledge of one additional language among the following: Spanish, French, Arabic.

ACQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • International experience in emergency activities and/or cooperation for development;
  • Experience in Project management.

SOFT SKILLS:

  • Analytical skills;
  • Ability to work in multicultural environment with sensitivity;
  • Good skills in interpersonal relations;
  • Good capability of working in team and partnership.
