Position
Aim of the Position:
As Demi Chef Pastry, you will be the onboard pastry team member able to create real delights through passion, creativity and professional touch.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assigned to a specific station ( Day or Night Shift)
- He/she is responsible for all dessert production of this station as indicated in the menu plan, recipes and methods and as assigned by the supervisor.
- Ensures that production is efficient and no waste occurs.
- He/she is responsible to take care of all requests from the supervisor (above) pertaining to specific assignments that may arise with short notice, due to special functions, itinerary or other unforeseen changes.
- He/she is responsible to frequently communicate the status of all pastry food production to the supervisor (above).
- He/she is responsible to supervise, monitor and delegate all, and extra work-load to subordinates within a timely and cost efficient manner.
- He/she is responsible to inform the supervisor when routine work, for various reasons, can’t be executed in the given time frame and await further instruction. He/she shall inspect all equipment and machinery used in their area of responsibility and report any problems or situations to the Executive Chef or the Chef Pastry.
- He/she has a thorough knowledge of the culinary pastry arts and is fully responsible for the quality and presentation of food leaving the station.
- Make sure all food is stored and all areas are cleaned to USPH standards.
Requirements
Job Requirements:
- Secondary school (Hospitality or equivalent)
- Specific course in pastry-making or at least 2 year experience in pastry laboratory
- Knowledge of Galley functioning and structure, including team organization, health, hygiene, food waste management
- Knowledge of products and quantities according to different recipes
- Enthusiastic and creative
- HACCP certification
- English knowledge A2
- Italian knowledge is an advantage
- Previous shipboard experience is a plus

La sua candidatura richiede la disponibilità a:
- incontrare i Recruiter tramite collegamento Skype il 20 aprile.
- seguire un corso (salvo tu non ne sia già in possesso) STCW Basic Safety Training, di una durata di circa 10 giorni e un costo indicativo di € 1.000 (simile a una patente). Il corso è obbligatorio solamente in caso di assunzione, al termine della selezione.

- Data di inizio impiego. Immediato. Valutiamo anche candidati con disponibilità non immediata. La preparazione della documentazione richiede almeno 30 giorni.
- Durata dell'impiego. 4/6 mesi, 2 mesi di riposo (possibilità di richiedere la disoccupazione), poi si riparte.
- Stipendio. Adeguato al ruolo. Maggiori informazioni verranno fornite in fase di contatto.

La partecipazione prevede una selezione con 5 fasi.
- Fase 1 - REGISTRAZIONE. Registrati a una delle offerte, allegando un ottimo CV completo e dettagliato (la prima valutazione sarà fatta in base ad esso).
- Fase 2 - SELEZIONE. Lo Staff di LavoroTurismo.it esaminerà il tuo profilo.
- Fase 3 - COLLOQUIO DIRETTO. Se il tuo profilo è considerato idoneo, sarai contattato da un recruiter di LavoroTurismo con un colloquio telefonico, per fornirti e per acquisire maggiori informazioni.
- Fase 4 - TEST ONLINE. Svolgimento di test online.
- Fase 5 - INCONTRO CON COSTA CROCIERE. Il 20 aprile effettuerai il colloquio con i recruiter di Costa Crociere in collegamento Skype.
